We are a World Class Primary Care Centre serving the primary care needs of our community in Waterford City.

In 2009 the building was developed into the Waterford Health Park an enhanced Primary Care Facility serving a patient population of over 18,000 in Waterford City, Ireland.

In 2006 Dr. Mark Rowe the founder and Clinical Director of the facility led a dedicated team of designers and Construction Professionals to transform the Old Presentation Convent into a world class Primary Care Centre. Conserving the building’s existing features while additional space was created through the addition of new wings using the latest in sustainable technologies to create a healthy and eco-friendly building taking advantage of solar energy and reusing captured rainwater.

The original building (former Presentation Convent) is a protected structure of National importance that has been part of Waterford’s fabric since the mid-19th Century having been designed by AWN Pugin, the Gothic architect largely credited for designing Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament at Westminster.

Dr. Mark Rowe and the Waterford Health Park are part of an international research collaboration called ‘The CARITAS Project.’ The building is a leading example of ‘Generative Space’ in the Health Care Setting. The CARITAS Project seeks to transform the future of health and healthcare delivery through the development of strategies and technologies that produce sustainable environments.
